Where's Callie? | Desperation 2014

I've been missing in action for the past several weeks, but it has been a very busy and eventful time!

I promised myself that I was going to be blogging more than I have been, but such is life.

So this blog post is to catch you up, at least partially.

Since Camryn's Senior Session, the last blog post here, I have done one more Senior Session (a sneak peek will be up when I am back in the country, more to come on that)
I have also second shot at a wedding in Texas, (I will link to that blog post when the main photographer posts it, in the mean time, check out her AMAZING work here.

The weekend after that, was Desperation! Desperation is a conference we take our students at the church to every year. To describe Desperation, I could sum it up by saying, we spent 30+ hours over 3 days in services, including teaching and praise and worship.

The trip was just lovely. Colorado Springs is just beautiful, the people were beautiful, everything was so amazing. We had a great group of students, ate amazing food. It was very relaxing, and almost like a vacation.
In no particular order, some lovely selfies from despo.
This is probably my favorite photo of myself from the entire trip here on the left, and on the right, here is my little sister, she's a strange one. Dat Chang Bang doe.
Okay, so lemme just take a second right here. Out of all the "fun" events we always do for youth trips, none of them are ever "fun" for me. I do not like water parks. I do not like theme parks. I do not enjoy typical fun things. I enjoy bookstores, coffeeshops, goodwill stores, my laptop, and quietness.
THAT BEING SAID
Battlefield Colorado was some of the most fun I have had in a long time. I was honestly not looking forward to it, at all, and was honestly somewhat dreading it.
It is an outdoor laser tag place in Colorado Springs, where they set up different teams, different scenarios, and have you running around shooting people for about two hours.
It's probably bad thatI had had such a great time killing my youth students from church... but it was a blast.

So I don't have many pictures, I was too busy having an awesome time. Here is a picture of my team #TEAMALPHA (we are awesome, I don't care what anyone else says) and then of course, a couple of the ladies and myself.
Here are a couple pictures from Desperation, I didn't take as many as I should have but here are a few of my favorites!

So that at least partially catches you up on what has been going on, that's part 1 of 2 for tonight, mostly because I had so much to share that I decided to break it up into two separate posts, so stay tuned for more!

Huge shoutout to the whole group who went to Despo with us! I love all of y'all, I hope y'all has as amazing of a time as I did, and possibly come back next year!
Another shoutout to those who called me while I was driving there and back, and talked to me on the phone while I was tired and or bored.
